WELCOME TO
MONTANA MARITIME's
DIAMOND BACK BOAT PAGE
We looked long and hard to find the right builder for our drift boats - and we found him down in Oregon. First off, we wanted quality, then price, and together that makes value. And this is what we found:

This is a 16 ft, wide bottom guide 48, fully equipped and fitted out, including oars, anchors - everything but the fishing gear - PLUS a Baker Standard Trailer - Cost? A little over $5,000. Try to beat that anywhere for a top quality aluminum drifter! Here's another shot:
Note
the extras: extended tackle trays, adjustable front bench and rowing bench, choice of
rower's seat, extra large storage benches fwd and aft, knee braces, level decks fore and
aft, non-skid textured vinyl decks, tackle drawer on rower's seat, drink holders, Bo's
foot release anchor system (centerline), 30# anchor w/ 50 ft rope, special anchor pocket,
Zolotone interior paint, exterior paint, gunnel guards, Bronze oarlocks and wrapped 9ft
Sawyer oars.
This design handles beautifully - we've had it down some really rough water with big passengers and didn't have a bit of problem. The local outfitters and guides like it, and the clients like it. What more can we say?
These are all custom boats. The builder runs a one man shop - aluminum sheet (.100/.080 deck/sidewall) comes in one end and goes out the paint shop a week or more later as a finished model. He builds about 40 boats a year and has offered to supply two or three to us. The above model is our own design. If you need more, or less, all you need do is state your specifications, 12-17 foot models, with or without any of the above and a lot of other options we didn't mention. We will be happy to quote a price.
